Hello Theo,

All is well here. Google is doing better than o.k. – she is absolutely delightful (attached is a photo I took a couple of days ago). We renamed her Stella, but should call her “poodle” because she follows us and wants to be around us like a little lapdog (in return for a scratch of course!). She’s had her immunizations, her woolf teeth were removed, and the farrier has been out to trim their feet as well. They are still 98% on pasture and only get a small cup of “Accelerator” mornings and nights as a supplement esp. because there is a lack of selenium in the forage around this region.

She really has the best disposition on earth; my husband, who is definitely not a born horse man, is completely smitten by her (.....).

Hi Theo
(....)This will be Leslie's 2nd foal to Alabama - her first has been registered as "Arisaig TGA". I have attached a picture for your fun!!!!

Hi guys,

Thank you again for a great day yesterday - my mother hasn't stopped talking about it and is obviously very excited for her new filly to arrive :). Mum was born and raised in Bristol, England, and grew up riding ponies. When she emmigrated to Canada with her family she continued on with horses and competed in show jumping and hunted around Montreal and Hudson. Mum and Dad have had a few horses here in Brigham over the past 15 years but the horses are now retired and Mum has had nothing to ride. Sydney has rejuvinated my Mum's spark and she is absolutley thrilled with her new Haflinger! (..................)

Thanks again Theo and Chantal

Cheers

Hi Theo,
I am Christine Level of Pleasant Hill Farm. (..)

I am the owner of Agent 007 GF, known to me as St. James (because he is a saint.) A young girl named Kristen Evans has fallen in love with him and I am doing my best to make sure that she becomes his next (and permanent) owner. It is really a "match made in heaven."
I am writing you to thank you for corresponding with her. She is a very sweet and enthusiastic girl of age 12. (...)

I also own Ceyla who I purchased in the AHR Fall 05 sale. I noticed from her passport that you were the original importer of her. She is Winterstein x Amadeus mare. When Hannes Schweisgut came to visit me, he told me that I should never sell this mare. I have a very pretty filly by her crossed with Arno. The filly is so nice that I bred Ceyla back to Arno for an 08 foal. I can email you a picture of the filly if you like.
And again, thank you so much for getting back to Kristen. I can never express to you enough how much it meant to her.
sincerely, christine level California

Greetings Theo!

I just wanted to write and say what a great article you wrote about Alabama CCF in the AHR magazine. I don't read many of the articles (mostly look at the photos), but yours I enjoyed reading.

It was so heartwarming that you purchased a beloved friend's horse, and extremely humorous as well.

Best wishes and a pat for Alabama from NY!

Christina

PS Love the excuse you gave your bank director about purchasing a coffee mug and getting a free horse! :)

WOW!
Alabama is WAY OVER the Jump! He needs to have a bigger challenge.
What a beautiful Stallion!

Theo,

Thank you so much for showing us around your farm and Alabama and Ricca. It was a great privilege for me to see them up close.
Attached are some pictures from last summer's pleasure show here. He placed second in a ladies to drive class with 15 horses and ponies. As I mentioned we are working on getting him fit enough to carry himself in more of a first level dressage frame. I feel sure he can do it we just need to work him consistently and the weather is already hot here.

I will keep you informed of his show record.

It was a pleasure to meet you.
Thanks again,

Hi Theo,
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the spring. I am very excited that my friends are interested in your mare. Oh what a wonderful owners she will have. Terri tells me you have found a stallion prospect for me, I can't wait to see the pictures. I keep checking your web page but I didn't see any.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Theo,
Many thanks for a most interesting afternoon. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and your father, and seeing all the beautiful Haflingers at your farm. Everything looked very well cared for, which was impressive and I feel that you are a completely trustworthy person. Paul Bienvenue had so thoroughly recommended you, and If the Amish people also trust you, that is also a very good sign! (.............)

Hi Theo,

I’m Tina from Tyrol, Austria.

I saw an article of your farm in International journal of “Haflingerpferde”. And now I know that “Nobelius” is on your farm – I just have known that he is in Kanada, but not where. I have a daughter of him called Mila. She is now 9 years old. She is really tall and a good jumper, and full of spirtis, but you can handle her well, most of the time. (...)

I’m looking forward to your reply!

Thanks.

Theo,

Thank you for sending me your stallion video! It is beautiful!
I am very excited about my Nobelius Filly. She is beautiful with amazing personalityand floating strides! She is out of Lilly Gold ILH, an Adanac daughter. I think Loanna Gold looks alot like Adanac.

Thanks again and hope to meet you soon.

Dear Mr. Theo Hug,

Thank you so much for the DVD of your Dad driving A Gold Star!!! I loved his performance so much and I’m so happy to be able to show it to my family now.

Would it be okay with you if I made a copy for my friend, Judy Miller and also for my riding instructor? I had told both of them about it and they would love to see it.

I promise not to sell the copies to CNN. :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to make me a copy and also for sending it to me. If I ever get to meet you I will have to buy you a drink to say thank you!

Happy Holidays to you and yours! :)

Christina

Hi Theo,
Merry Christmas to you all! Life here is much the same. My 2 mares produced 2 beautiful fillies earlier this year. It was all very exciting for us. I did not breed the mares back as I just want to move slowly. I have Cookie ( one of the mares) for sale and when she is sold I would like to find a Stallion prospect- hopefully from you. I so enjoy looking at your web page and thought we could come out to visit your farm in the spring and see all your Haflingers?
I have enclosed our holiday picture and a picture of my daughter on Nutcracker- He is such a joy.

It was great to hear from you,
Happy Holiday to all at Grison Farms

With Kind Regards,

Laura

Dear Theo

Thank you so much for the wonderful time had by my daugher Claire and her
friends. Camp Grison was a fabulous place for a "first sleepover camp."
The lessons on your gorgeous haflingers and the cultural aspects of French
Quebec will give the girls lifetime memories.

The girls (plus more friends) hope to return, so we are organizing for
July 2006.

It was quite funny, but when we told the border guards that we were taking
the girls to camp in Racine, they replied "the horse camp?" You are very
well known.

Hi Theo,

I just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed watching your father drive A Gold Star at Twin Birch Farm a couple of months ago. Your father is truly awesome and I was so impressed with him and his horse. Please pass along my compliments to him if you would and also a thank you for performing for all of us. J Also, you had sent me one of your Farm’s DVD’s last spring and you never even charged me for it…thank you for that! That was so nice of you and I really appreciate it. I was hoping my friend Judy would be able to introduce me to you so I could tell you these things in person at the sale, but since that didn’t happen, you get an email instead. ;)

Kind regards,

Theo and the team,
Thank you so very much for providing a wonderful, and eye opening experience for Faith and her friends.
This was a week of many firsts' for Faith:
first time at an overnight camp
first time to Canada
first time to be in a predominantly non-English speaking environment
first time away from home without a close friend or family member

All in all, she really learned so much- communication, improved her riding, hopefully her patience, kindness and respect of others too. I truly enjoyed my brief stay with Deb at the Chateau, a bit of exploring of the area and THE HORSE SHOW yesterday! The synchronized riding was beautiful! The determination of the campers wonderful and the encouragement of the instructors so warm and kind.

We will need to work on organization and cleanliness for another time away- I could not believe her bed and space!!!! Maybe even continuing to improve in understanding French!

I hope that having Faith and the group was a positive (although trying) experience for you and your team. I'd welcome any thoughts you care to share.

Again, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for providing such a great destination and experience for my daughter Faith. I hope you and your staff find time to rest, cool off and re-energize soon! You need it and deserve it.

All the best,
Margaret Potorski

Hi, Theo:

Just want to let you know that we really enjoyed your DVD. We were invited to a party at Phil Greenisen and thought it would be fun to show the DVD to everybody there. It turned out that most of them were Amish and really liked the extra entertainment. All the stallions look great but Adanac is outstanding, what a gorgeous horse.

Hi Theo,

It was nice to meet you yesterday, I know the girls will have great fun
at camp.............

I forgot to ask you , but, a local mom of an 8 year old girl is looking
for a gentle, well trained, healthy first horse....are any of your hafs
suitable?

The ride home was quite quick, the directions you gave were great, much
shorter than my way up!

I forgot to tell you that when we entered Canada the customs officer
asked where we were going and what purpose. When I told her "to look at
a camp in Racine for my daughter" she asked, "The horse camp?"

You must be well known at the border..........

Deb

Oh, Arkansas has a very sweet face!

I really am glad I found your stables information online. I had found
another breeder (also in Canada I believe) that does the payment plan,
but I didn't like their horses near as much as yours.

I can't imagine someone doing something like you do if they were in it simply for
money.

I look forward to owning one of your horses.

Theo,

Hi! Azzaro is doing so well. He has settled in like an old pro and has becomes the filly's best friend. He is so kind and gentle and has the most wonderful personality.

I will keep you updated on his progress. It was so nice to meet you!

Hello Mr Grison,

It is exciting that Alabama CHF is coming back to Ohio for the 2005 breeding season! We hope to see many more Alabama babies soon. I want to tell you a short story that you indirectly have a part. We own Airspace CHF (Alabama CHF X Atlantis CHF) and we really believe that Mr Aden Miller really knew how to breed for the best of the best. This is our first horse and my daughter Erika has only been riding and driving him for less than a year but they both worked hard through last winter and spring then had a very successful summer... Through the summer and fall shows we've had many people look at Airsspace and say they've never seen such an attractive haflinger. Our response to them has been for them to look at all haflingers again because they are absolutely wonderful animals! I am a proud father and at the end of the day seeing my daughter's face beaming with pride and happiness with her horse makes the effort and expense well worth it.
